Ashville is a village in Pickaway County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,174 at the 2000 census.

Ashville was the birthplace of one of the biggest actors in the history of the adult film industry, John Curtis Holmes. Holmes was born as John Curtis Estes, but his mother changed his surname to Holmes when she remarried.

Ashville is also home to Harold Henson, a fullback for the Ohio State University football team.

The Ashville Small Town Museum claims to be home to America's oldest working traffic light, which directed traffic in downtown Ashville until the 1970's. This signal was designed by Ohio resident Teddy Boor.[3]

This small town was also the home of a dog who once voted. The dog voted a straight Bull-Moose ticket. An exhibit and tribute to this incredible dog is displayed at Ohio's Small Town Museum in Ashville, Ohio.[4]
