Ashtown, Dublin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ashtown (Irish: Baile an Ɓisigh ) is a rapidly developing suburb of Dublin. Situated on the Royal Canal, it is near the N3 Navan Road. Many apartment schemes have been built here in recent years, transforming what was previously a rural area, indeed many roads in the area lack pavements.

[edit] Transport

The Dublin-Sligo railway also passes through the area and it is served by Ashtown railway station, which opened on 1 August 1902.[1]
