[edit] Life

Ashton was born in Mississauga, Toronto. His parents went through a divorce before he was born. His mother migrated both of them to Singapore in 1989. Ashton now lives with his mother and grandparents. His grandfather died a few years after he moved to Singapore from cancer.

He had a rough childhood, often being bullied in school. He suffered from bouts of depression and had a low self-esteem during these years. 2001 was the turning point in his life when he took up "Le Parkour" after seeing it featured in a movie "Yamakasi" aired on the show "Ripley's believe it or not!". He started training on his own and during this time, he demonstrated a taste for action and fast movements. He also excelled in athletics and climbing. Ashton was also born with the passion of Heroism and Altruism(helping other people).

From the year 2001 to 2003, he made friends with other Traceurs and eventually become a target of the Singapore Police Force, who cited the reason of him being a "public nuisance". However this do not deter him from training. It is rumored that during these few years, he escaped from police chases more than 20 times, never once being caught. The first forum, "pkeast" in Urban freeflow is the place when he meet more people interested in Le Parkour. Due to some incidents that occurred in Urbanfreeflow, Ashton and a few other pioneers left. By 2004, pksg had it's very own website, created and managed by Nomad, one of the pioneers.

In 2005, a few months after he graduated from high school, he enlist in 2SIR (2nd Singapore Infantry Regiment) and began his national service. Less than half a year after his enlistment, several injuries, including stress fractures to his left hip bone, forced him to quit parkour. However his refusal to give up, attributed to his strong will and determination, enabled him to fight his way back to recovery and even managed to join the "killer force", the special task force in the battalion. Thanks to the victories from the special task force, 2SIR eventually won the best combat unit for that year.

Upon completing his national service in 2007 he worked in a number of professions including being a gymnastics instructor in "prime gymnastics club", working in a sliming and wellness center and other administrative jobs. He was first introduced into the world of acting when he met Sham, pioneer and founder of "Idamos", a local entertainment team, during a parkour session. In order to discuss the success of parkour on the big screen, he began to develop his acting abilities through a few "indie" films. Since then, he as acted as a bridge for Genso and Idamos, eventually helping to form the G&I Alliance. He returned to school in 2008 and his plans includes reuniting the pioneers of pksg, as well as build pksg's very own parkour gym.

[edit] Controversies and Rumors

Ashton and another Parkour Pioneer in Singapore was both accused of monopolizing Parkour Singapore Community by manipulating the practitioners around them. It became such a big controversy in the forum that by 2005, more than half the community left the scene. It is rumored that this struggle for power is still going on till now.

He was accused of being a follower of Anton Lavey after one of the pictures in his online profile showed him holding The Satanic bible. Ironically he was also spotted in City Harvest church.

There were rumors that he worked with secret societies from the late 90s to early 2000s and was also an informer for the police force. However up till now he denied of any involvements to both sides.
