Ashraf (Andrew) Amaya (born November 23, 1971 in Oak Park, Illinois) is a retired American basketball player.
He played collegiately for the Southern Illinois University. Amaya then would appear for the Vancouver Grizzlies (1995-96) and Washington Bullets (1996-97) in the NBA for 85 games.[1]
He played for the US national team in the 1998 FIBA World Championship, winning the bronze medal.[2]
He last played professionally for the Apollon Patras BC club in Greece in 2004. He also played for the Dakota Wizards of the NBDL, Alpella Istanbul in Turkey, Idaho Stampede in the CBA and Maroussi Athens in Greece with whom he won the Saporta Cup in 2001.[3]
