The Ashland Independent School District is a school district based in Boyd County, Kentucky. The district serves the area within the city limits of Ashland.

[edit] Superintendent
The current superintendent of the Ashland Independent School District is Phil Eason. Eason, however, has announced his intent to retire from his position effective June 30, 2008. The Ashland Board of Education has named Stephen E. Gilmore as the new superintendent. Gilmore is a former assistant superintendent and currently serves as the mayor of Ashland.
