Ashford, now a ghost town, was a community in Banner County, Nebraska, United States. Named the temporary county seat of Banner County on 25 January 1889, it possessed a post office that opened in October 1888 and closed on 24 July 1902.[1] The community's elevation and geographic coordinates are unknown, as nothing remains of the town.[2] However, somewhat can be known of its location: it was located on Pumpkin Creek,[1] a stream that flows into Morrill County,[3] which lies to the east of Banner County.[4]
