Asheville Radiology

Asheville Radiology Group began in 1944 with three radiologists practicing Diagnostic Radiology. In 1997, Asheville Radiology Group merged with Western Carolina Radiology to form Asheville Radiology Associates, which included Asheville MRI and Asheville Imaging Center.

In 2002, Asheville Radiology's interventional radiologists were joined by the region's only full-time, board-certified vascular surgeons, formerly with Asheville Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons (ACTS), to form a new division of ARA: Carolina Vascular. This division offers direct access to the most comprehensive care available for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease.

Today Asheville Radiology consists of 35 Radiologist, 5 Vascular Surgeons, 9 Physician's Assistants, and over 200 employees. As a multi-specialty practice, Asheville Radiology is the largest of its kind in Western North Carolina. It provides a wide range of imaging services including Women's Imaging, CT, Interventional Radiology, MRI, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Body Imaging and Musculoskeletal Radiology. The group is dedicated to providing the highest quality imaging services available utilizing the latest technology.
