[edit] Description
Asheville Mall is located off Interstate 240 in eastern Asheville. It is predominantly a one-story mall, with mall offices and a B. Dalton Bookseller on separate second levels. Its anchors are Belk, JC Penney, Sears, and two Dillard's locations, Dillard's South and Dillard's North, the latter of which is a former Montgomery Ward. An expansion which will probably bring the square footage up to 1,000,000 sq. ft. will occur in 2008. About 10 new stores will be added and a Barnes and Noble will reclocate to a two story location from their current store about a half mile away.
