Ashbury (Bexley, Ashbury, Silverbirch, Kilmaine, Ballycrochan) is a district on the south-east side of Bangor, County Down in Northern Ireland. It is an area of the south of the town, with a population of approximately 12,000, fifth largest district (population) in Bangor. It includes the Linear Park.
Ashbury has two primary schools:
Kilmaine Primary School, opened in 1975 but has recently been knocked down and completely rebuilt into a new state of the art Primary School and nursery. This £4 million project was completed and officially reopened in November 2005 by North Down MP Lady Sylvia Hermon. The headmaster of this school is Mr Mann.
Ballymagee Primary School was opened in 1994. It is situated on Ashbury Avenue and Albany Road. The Head Master is Edward Ferguson.
