Ashbrook High School is a public high school in the School District of Gaston County located in Gastonia, North Carolina.
This school is the result of two former senior high schools, Holbrook Senior High and Ashley Senior High, merging into one.
The school's most famous alumni is James Worthy.
Other notable alumni include MLB star, Wesley Helms.
The mascot, is nicknamed Gumby and has last been worn by Kevin C. Eads during the 2007-2008 seasons.
Ashbrook last won the State Football Championship in 2003 as well as the Baseball State Championship the same year. The quarterback was Cole Russell during that year. The baseball team had a very talented sqaud including Wes MCall, Stevie Yavalak, Micheal Boegart and Josh Duncan.
The 2008 Ashbrook Football team is looking better than ever. Jay Boyd, their WR, is getting offers from nearly every state in the country.
