ASG started with the name All Systems Go but shortened to ASG after finding out another band already had the name. ASG recorded their debut album as a self-titled in 2002. At this time, they connected with Volcom Entertainment, and began touring the nation for the new album. In 2003, they released their second album, The Amplification of Self-Gratification, and immediately began a tour to promote it. They also played a portion of the Vans Warped Tour. After the '04 Warped Tour, they went to L.A. to record their third album, Feeling Good is Good Enough, produced by Matt Hyde. Tracks from their albums are often played on MTV shows, especially Viva La Bam, and as background music for surfing and snowboarding videos, such as Mack Dawg Productions' People. ASG has toured with bands such as the Dwarves, CKY and Torche. The band plays a mixture of punk rock, southern rock and metal; they also tend to have somewhat of a stoner rock feel. Since their first performances, ASG have developed a strong reputation with their fans for excellent live performances, true to their "all killer no filler" ethos.

They recently finished recording their newest album in early August of 2007. Titled "Win Us Over," the album's expected release is in late August to early September.
