Is it known for sure that Aschen technology suprassed the Goa'uld or only that they had some advanced technology compared to Earth and used biowarfare to destroy the Goa'uld in one alternate timeline?

Well, the aschen themselves claimed that their technology would not only be sufficient to protect Earth from the Goa'uld, but would also allow them to defeat them. It's only logical that they wouldn't say those things if they only relied on one technical advancement (the bioweapon) over the goa'uld. Maartentje 13:22, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Are the Aschen human?

Is the typical Aschen lack of emotion a cultural thing or are they not human? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 218.215.138.103 (talk) 04:08, 10 April 2007 (UTC).

It's a cultural thing, they're quite human (Biologically, at least). Think Hollywood stereotypical Buddhist monk, just as human as you and me, but not exactly a stand-up comedian. JBK405 23:07, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia

The Trivia is not totally correct. In german, Aschen is a plural for Asche, the german word for ash or ashes, but dict.leo.org translates Aschen with embers. It is not a verb, the verb is einäschern. Though highly uncommon, aschen (written with an small a) could be an adjective, meaning "made with ash". Maybe someone corrects it. I am not sure how to write that in a proper english. 217.225.68.227 21:31, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Aschen.png

Image:Aschen.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:44, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
