[edit] Speedy deletion of Pazhaya Semimary
A tag has been placed on Pazhaya Semimary requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Image source problem with Image:Catholicatepalace.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Catholicatepalace.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:16, 11 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 16:16, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pazhaya Semimary
A tag has been placed on Pazhaya Semimary, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mjroots (talk) 16:41, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Catholicatepalace.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Catholicatepalace.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Redirect of Catholicos Moran Mar Beselios Paulose of the East
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Catholicos Moran Mar Beselios Paulose of the East, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Catholicos Moran Mar Beselios Paulose of the East is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

[edit] Catholicos of The East
You have an interesting article. I have learned a lot. However, both sides have to be presented equally in this article about legitimacy. No side can be perceived to have "won" unless the other side concedes which they won't. Therefore, documents cannot be presented in raw format and conclusions drawn. Rather, arguments have to be drawn from scholars or people of authority on either side. Otherwise we violate WP:OR by appearing to put forward a new argument or say that the opponents argument fails on inspection. Having said that, the raw material may be presented without comment. However, the conclusion may not be apparent to the casual reader! Student7 (talk) 12:24, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Arun,
- I know you are a big supporter of Indian orthodox Church. Having said that, Please dont vandalize viewpoints of other churches and denominations. The recent edits/redirects regarding articles of Catholicos is not very appreciable. This is an encylopedia . Hope you take this suggestion in good spirits - Tinucherian (talk) 14:22, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Neutral point of view
Dear Arun
Please try to keep a Neutral point of view when creating or moving articles. Dont create articles with the same title to create a new page. I appreciate your zeal to the Indian Orthodox Church, but this is wikipedia and we have to keep a Neutral point of view. You can be of great help in creating good articles on Indian Orthodox Church. Please help wiki.

I am not here for an arguement on factional disputes. I am here to protect the NPOV of Wiki. Also remember that you are not the only one who can edit wiki. reverting is very easy if you haven't noticed. I dont care about such disputes but neutrality have to be kept and it would be kept at any cost.
You are stating your own point of views which is right in your own point of view but that doesn't mean it is accurate.
Read this page if you have spare time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NPOV This too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Policies_and_guidelines

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Catholicos4.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Catholicos4.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Notability of Malankara association
A tag has been placed on Malankara association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 22:38, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- The adminstrator who evaluated this article apparently agreed that the Association is not notable in its own right, but instead of deleting it changed it to a redirect. After your reversion to the original content, I have restored the redirect. If you disagree with the admin's action, you are free to take it up with them on their talk page, but please do not revert the article again without further discussion. Thank you. --Finngall talk 15:41, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hi
[edit] Moran Mar Baselios Mar Thoma Didymos I
This article is up for move. And no, we don't move articles without discussing them first. The reason for the move is that the prefix "H.H." for His Holiness is on the article. Honorifics are not allowed in Wikipedia. It is an encyclopedia not a guide for the faithful.
And please stop moving stuff without discussion. Student7 (talk) 12:21, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- I think I understand now. And since no one has tried to move them back, it must have been the thing to do. Student7 (talk) 11:14, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Malankara association
Thank you for the explanation. As I mentioned in Talk:Indian (Malankara) Orthodox Church and Talk:Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, the distinction is confusing for those unfamiliar with the subject. Regards, ... discospinster talk 14:58, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have placed the text of the original page here: User:Arunvroy/Malankara association. At the moment it's is not ready to be in the main article space because it does not show how the association is notable (please see WP:ORG for the guidelines). It had been tagged for speedy deletion when I first came across it, and it probably would have been deleted by another administrator because of the notability issue. If you would like to work on it, it could eventually be moved back into the article space. ... discospinster talk 16:22, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- The concept of "notability" in Wikipedia refers to "being the subject of coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources." Basically, it means "have you been written about or referred to?" It's explained in more detail at the page Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies).
-
- Another aspect that is important is that the article be understandable by those who are not already familiar with the subject. You need to make clear what exactly the Malankara Association is and what church it is associated with. As the article stands, it's difficult to make that out. For example, is it the same association as the one in http://www.malankaraassociation.com? That's why I originally redirected the page to Jacobite Syrian Christian Church.
-
- I hope this clears up my concerns. ... discospinster talk 17:50, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
