Arusha is one of the five districts of the Arusha Region of Tanzania, and it contains the regional capitol of Arusha. It is bordered on the south by the Monduli District and to the north, east, and west by the Arumeru District.

According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the human population of the Arusha District was 282,712. [1]
