Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Wessex Scene

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a valid article. Wessex Scene is the student newspaper (not radio station, as the above was wrongly suggested) of one of the Russell Group top 20 universities in the United Kingdom. External link to the paper's website is provided as verification of it's existence. If this is deleted why not delete all entries on all student media the world over?

Aye I agree, this is not a radio station! And the AfD should have been thrown out for the sheer ignorance of the person creating the AfD proposal. It's a publication with a long history, is highly notable therefore, so should have an article on its own. A lot of could be written about the 'Wessex Scene' such that including such information into the university of Southampton article is far from ideal. Besides, The Wessex Scene is more related to Southampton University Students Union not the University itself. They're two different things. By the way, the students union radio station is very notable and is called SURGE_1287AM Supposed (talk) 17:39, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD of the university radio station related to the wessex scene.

It appears the creator of this AfD has some sort of agenda against articles of this nature, proven by his unsuccessful surge radio AfD proposal [1]. Supposed (talk) 17:48, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
