Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Toilet: The Novel

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For what its worth....

I learned of "Toilet The Novel" because it was referenced on the Wiki 'Existentialism' page. I ordered the book and I really, really enjoyed it. It was definitely an existentialist novel and it was creative and well written. That being said, I can understand why this book was removed from the Existentialist page...its not notable enough. However, the fact that the article about the book itself was deleted was draconian of the Wikipedia community. Its a published book; its not some internet manifesto some no-name posted on their Angelfire website. There are plenty of other published books on this website, why pick on this one to lock out of Wikipedia? I found it extremely irritating that I could not get more information on Michael Szymczyk or 'Toilet the Novel' on Wikipedia. I understand the bio information on Michael was exaggerated or fabricated, but the book exists, people read it and are interested in it. There is no reason there cannot be at least a stub letting people like me know a brief synopsis of the novel. This deletion seems like a personal retaliation against Michael S. and his marketing tactics. Why punish the other Wikipedia users who dont have a problem with Michael, or liked this book?
