A. This act is notable because of the cumulative value of the following:
1. they are the first in the U.S. to use a virtual character as an integral member of the band on stage. (2nd in the world) 2. they have an album released 3. they are part of an annual international event (Roswell UFO festival) 4. they have been on the radio in at least 2 States (Arizona, New Mexico) 5. they do charity work - the many shows are listed on their web site
B. Why would you take a great layout, based on the wiki Rolling Stones page, and strip it down to boring and minimal? MediaMike (talk) 01:55, 21 January 2008 (UTC)MediaMike
- about that last point. the Rolling Stones are the exception, not the rule. This band is clearly not the Rolling Stones. Furthermore, parts of the Rolling Stones page are done incorrectly and need fixing themselves ("Line-up" should be "Personnel", for instance). That's why we have guidelines to format articles to instead of just copying other band articles. tomasz. 10:11, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
You say the Rolling Stones page is done incorrectly, yet there is no notice on the page indicating that. (no reference). Element 115 never made the claim that they were the Rolling Stones, but since they are arguably the most famous rock band still playing, and the page APPEARS to have the approval of Wiki, it is logical to use their page as a template. Since you have visited the page in order to indicate there are things "needing fixing" and yet have placed no indication on the page of that condition, your comment appears disingenuous and again, dogmatic. 68.3.167.64 (talk) 23:10, 21 January 2008 (UTC)MediaMike
- Not really, no. It doesn't need fixing to the extent that it needs tagging. And yes, they may be the most famous rock band playing: that's a reason for you not to model your page on theirs, not the other way round. blah blah dogma blah personal attack blah blah accusation of prejudice. tomasz. 10:24, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
