Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Steve Gilliard
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Non-notable blogger"? Give me a break. Aside from being one of the most popular bloggers on the internet, Gilliard was also one of the first "guest editors" at Daily Kos, and was responsible for building that site's traffic and establishing it as a legitimate "voice" in the then-emerging "blogosphere." Previous to that, he was was a recognized voice at Netslaves. I have absolutely no idea why his name is being "proposed for deletion" from Wikipedia. Will you be "deleting" other media figures, such as George Will or Maureen Dowd, when they die? Gilliard was a better writer than both of them put together.

In casting his vote, 68.36.78.211 (the unsigned commenter I marked) also deleted a dissenting "delete" vote. I can't revert to the previous version because others have already cast votes since then which would be lost... and I'm not sure what the proper protocol is here regarding the reposting of deleted votes -- could someone more knowledgeable in Wikipedia policy address this? --Viridian {Talk} 17:09, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
