  • Keep - Does anyone contest the existence of the "shadowban"? It's a veritable phenomenon, popularized mostly by disgruntled users of Fark.com, especially those who owned a paid subscription. Shadowbans are, simply put, when forum administration chooses to "hide" comments made by certain users unbeknownst to the shadowbanned user. Shadowban-ees are free to post comments at will, except that no one else (besides the moderation/admin staff) will actually see them. This method is particularly frowned upon by the Internet community mostly because of its disenguousness. Also, this method gained particular notoriety on Fark.com because paid members ("Totalfarkers") were unwittingly paying to post comments that no one else could see.

There is no reason not to include this very real phenomenon, save for special interests.
