[edit] Attempted votestacking
The author of the article and the founder of the Roma Virtual Network, User:Valery novoselsky, has just used the Network itself to incite its subscribers to vote in this AfD debate. He alleges that this deletion is motivated by racism. See "Hidden Romaphobia on Wikipedia" on the Roma Virtual Network. [edit] Roma Virtual Network
I am a senior professional working in an international development organisation in the Balkans for the past 7 years. Part of my work is to ensure that minorities are included in all our projects and programmes. I have subscribed to the Network as it gives me up to date information and interesting articles about the situation regarding Roma people. I have read some of the discussion around about deleting the reference to the network and I do not agree that it should be deleted. Wikipedia is and should be a source of information for what exists - as a professional wanting to get information and to understand the situation I would search the web to get sources - the Roma Virtual Network is one such source. From a development perspective it is always optimal to have organisations and networks that are created by Roma people themselves to work with. These usually have a higher impact and are more credible with the best information about the realities that Roma people face.
