Merge - This article, btw, does not address those who DID hear him say he had a bomb. The man who claimed he didn't hear any mention of the bomb was in row 26, coach (I saw him interviewed on TV and he indicated he was in row 26, coach). This occurred in First Class. If you know anything about the layout of an airplane you know that row 26 is a LONG way from first class. With the natural noise on an airplane when people are boarding, it would be a stretch to think someone in row 26, coach could hear ANYTHING that takes place in first class. Also, this man was an unfortunate incident, however, the air martials did their job which was to protect the plane and its passengers. It was the fault of Mr. Alpizar and his wife for not being certain that, at least, the cabin crew had not been made aware, from the time they first boarded the plane, that Mr. Allpizar had a mental defect that might make him act irratically. Had the wife enven done it on the QT, she may still have her husband today. This was a case of a situation which was preventable ONLY by the actions of Mr. Alpizar and his wife, not anything the air martials did or did not do.

This is news, ONLY, not something that needs to be a primary or segregated incident other than it was the first time since 9/11 that the air martials, who fly worldwide every day to keep us safe in the skies, have shot anyone. In my estimation, the air martials have done an exemplary job and should be commended for their restraint and their service.
