- They have 10,000 hits on google. While that doesn't guarantee that they're noteable, its as much proof as I have do go on. pm_shef 15:13, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

- CommentJust because they're no exact standard specifically for clubs doesn't mean that every organization should be kept... --
Rory09614:58, 6 April 2006 (UTC) - Comment "Organizations" and "clubs" are not equal. If this club is considered to be not notable enough, then what is the standard for club inclusion on Wikipedia? Google search results? Club achievements? The league in which they compete? These are very abstract. - Nate Hanson 15:00, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Answer That's why we have the AfD consensus process, so that the community can weigh in. pm_shef 15:10, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Question That is not an answer. What is the standard? If there is no standard, the article must stay. Rory has already admitted that this article has an assertion of notability--and then said it didn't. You have to have one argument and stick with it. Is it that it doesn't come up high in Google? Then do we need to search every Wikipedia article to see their Google PageRank? Is it their achievements (which Rory noted as notability)? Then we would need to make sure ever club or group listed on Wikipedia had done better than 1st in their respective competitions. What's the standard? - Nate Hanson 15:31, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Comment Uhhhh no. That's not how it works. Just because there is no criteria doesn't mean that we keep everything. The AfD process is here to get the opinions of the articles' noteability and whether or not it is in fact encyclopedic. Simply because you feel it's noteable doesn't mean it actually is, it's up to the community to decide and IMO, having one person win 4 national championships doesn't make the club noteable. pm_shef 15:39, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Comment - We're sorry you don't like the answer, but an answer it is nonetheless; we judge such things by the criteria we find sound, whether or not there are specific hoops through which to jump. That's why we work by consensus. RGTraynor 15:43, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Again, pointing out the 4 National Championships only adds to my case. Is that your standard for judging notability? Or... Is it the Google argument? So, if we get a higher Google PageRank, then we're elegible for Wikipedia? Or, do we have to get more National Championships? What's the standard? No one has answered this, only shyed away from it.
Also, you will notice that I have removed the "Finalists" category so not it only displays the National Championships. This page also talks about the annual tournament the Rainmakers host--therefore making it worthy of Wikipedia. The Rainmakers page is also linked to from other pages (Gregg Harris, father of author Joshua Harris.)
