Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Novoselsky Valery

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

User:Psychonaut who is adding {{SPA}} tags, allegedly bona-fidae, is currently involved in another AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Margita Bangová, a rather promotional article (started by this user) about an undescript Romani beggar targeted by Toronto sensationalistic press. Thus there is supported an article activley creating the prejudicial "Gypsy" image, because otherwise the biography has nothing worthy to remember, while here is helped the deletion of an important contemporary Romani activist. What should one understand from this? Because of the Romani ethnicity, the beggar remains and the activist is out? Btw, just compare the importance of the biographies of these to persons. With regard to the tags themselves, for Valery novoselsky and RomanyChaj, it is obvious they are older and they have also other activities at Wikipedia. Desiphral-देसीफ्राल 14:04, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Valery novoselsky has only edited the article about himself and the organization he represents. RomanyChaj has only made a few contributions, all on Romani subjects or to his own userpage. Thus, the tag saying the user "has made few or no other edits outside this topic" is completely relevant -- it appears their only purpose in editing Wikipedia is to edit a very limited scope of articles, and thus they may not have the grasp of policy necessary to understand the deletion discussion. -- Merope 14:17, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
To clarify, I am not "adding" SPA tags so much as restoring ones that Desiphral removed. Another user originally added the SPA tags (correctly, IMHO). —Psychonaut 14:29, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
