My concern is that if you go over to the proposer's website, www.the-rda.com and compare this to www.mugglenet.com, the graphic structure is nearly identical. The proposer uses the same theme as Mugglent does. Since I know that Mugglenet aggressively pursues those who use their designwork without permission, I am wondering if there hasn't been a contact that caused this (what I consider to be) abusive AfD. Two smaller sites, the-leaky-cauldron.com and veritaserum.com are listed on Wikipedia and have not been proposed for deletion.

He cannot be legitimately proposing this because Mugglenet lacks notoriety:

First, Mugglenet is the largest Harry Potter fan site on the web. I don't think that it's a stretch to say that the Harry Potter series has the largest fanbase on the entire internet.

Second, Mugglenet (along with Leaky-Cauldron) secured the first interview with J.K. Rowling in Scotland right after the release of the Half Blood Prince. I daresay that Ms. Rowling and her publishers would not be flying Mugglenet's founder all the way to Scotland without some regard for the importance of the website.

Third, Mugglenet is the home to Mugglecast, the #1 podcast on the #1 source for Podcasts, Apple's Itunes.

Any one of these factors would warrant a topic on Wikipedia. Taken all together, it would be insane to remove Mugglenet and I believe that a speedy keep is warranted as well as some block on the bad faith conduct of the proposer. Jtmichcock 03:43, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

I noted that the Proposer's latest message claims "I am placing a request to remove the deletion process as my account was hacked into and I have no intention to nominate MuggleNet for deletion." Posted 07:24, 10 October 2005 (UTC). But the Proposer's previous unsigned post states "Someone had HACKED in my Wiki account.... I have nothing against MuggleNet. I think its good site too. But its inclusion in Wiki is not called for in my opinion."

Which is it? Was his account hacked into and someone else proposed the AfD against his belief or did someone hack into his account and propose Mugglenet which (oddly) happens to coincide with his belief that "its inclusion in Wiki is not called for"?

May I suggest a third possibility that there was no hack and the Proposer is trying to evade responsibility for what many believe is an improper request? Jtmichcock 12:03, 10 October 2005 (UTC)
