Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Medrash Shmuel yeshiva

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is no basis for deleting this article. This is a world famouns yeshiva attened by over 300 individuals. It has bachurim from around the world. Your basis is specious, at best. And I believe you owe me an apology. Power Corrupts. DavidCharlesII 21:33, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Why would anybody owe *you* an apology for nominating an article for deletion? This isn't like Mir, or Brisk, that has a long-standing history. There are plenty of community colleges that have more than 300 students and don't have articles on Wikipedia. The Yeshiva has no real claim to fame that I know of. All the article manages to say is that it exists, that it is a Yeshiva, and that it has a website.--Meshulam 22:31, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

You obviously know nothing about how "Pinchos" has been attempting to hijack everything I do. There are many yeshivas with bios on Wikipedia, including Shor Yashuv and Ohr Someach. Neither of these yeshivas are particularly important, but they are in here anyway--together with many more. Pinchos decided to delete my entry (about a Yeshiva I did not even attend but saw that it was mentioned in Wikipedia several times) only because of his very personal animus toward individuals who do not subscribe to his views on the Rebbe. Because he abused his power, acted in such a petty way, is trying to harm my reputation on Wikipedia by "cautioning" ME to be coolheaded, and his coninuous attempting to harm me, he owes me an apology.

Second, the Yeshiva happens to have produced many prominent Rabbis and has possibly the best English shiur in Yerushalayim. Obviously, Rabbi Slifkin is the best known product of the Yeshiva. But he is not nearly the best. Several others are giving chaburos in Lakewood, and some have already assumed prominent roles of leadership in England. The fact that you know nothing about the Yeshiva in this case is insignificant.

If Pinchos has a soul, cares at all about Hashem and the fact that we are quickly approaching Ellul, he would publicly apologize for his excesses. 66.93.254.200 13:48, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

As I assumed, he cares nothing about soul, God, or the fact that Ellul is soon arriving. DavidCharlesII 14:01, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Instead of apologizind for abusing his powers, Pinchos sent me "another warning." Well I am warning you that you are abusing me. Pick on someone else. DavidCharlesII 14:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I think you're being a little ridiculous. Accusing Pinchas of having an animosity towards you, and caring nothing about God, etc. is extremely rude and fairly disgusting. The article has very little information, and exists only to provide a link to the Baal Teshuva Yeshiva. In essence, the article is an advertisement. That's frowned upon here on Wikipedia. Time and time again, I see that you have abused the NPOV rules. Clearly you don't understand what NPOV means. Yet you're the one who cries foul! Finally, I can't imagine what Pinchas's opinions about "The Rebbe" (I don't know which Rebbe you're talking about here, so I'll assume you mean the Lubavitcher Rebbe) has anything to do with a page about Medrash Shmuel. You should calm down, be more cool headed, and not make accusations like this again!--Meshulam 03:46, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

I did not break any NPOV rules, I was merely accused of doing it by someone who has done it far more times than I could have dreamed about. His animosity is obvious, he has destroyed every edit and contribbution I have made so far. DavidCharlesII 14:50, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

I really don't want to talk about the PinchosC issue anymore. He has agreed to be a little more understanding. If you can advise as to how this is different from Shor Yashuv's bio and what I can add to it to make it better, I would appreciate it. There is not so much about it online, but there is also very little about ponevez online, as well. 66.93.254.200 15:10, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
