So who wants to take this to DVR, or should we let another AFD become a victim of head counting? -- Ned Scott 00:47, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- I would say go for it, but the only problem would be that it'll just turn into another lengthy debate. I guess you should just use your own discretion. Nemu 00:51, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Why continue beating this dead horse when you could help improve WP:EPISODE at Wikipedia talk:Television episodes? Phony Saint 01:00, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- That discussion, too, will remain ever idle. The large amount of people that want their unsourced, trivial articles will not let it change. Nemu 01:04, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- I see far more rational (albeit somewhat slow) discussion there than simple vote-stacking. You at least have a chance to actually change something with the guideline, rather than not getting anywhere with AfDs. Phony Saint 01:58, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- The guideline does not need to be changed. -- Ned Scott 02:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- The guideline suggests merging the episode articles with the list and strongly suggests not to put them up for AfD. This particular AfD came about because two people were having an edit war over redirects or full articles. If the guideline is fine as it is, then you're trying to push what should be a redirect/merge through the deletion process. If the guideline isn't fine as it is, then you're putting effort into the wrong area. Phony Saint 03:58, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- We've already updated WP:EPISODE to clear up the confusion on that statement. In no way was WP:EPISODE saying that AfDs should always be avoided. -- Ned Scott 06:01, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- If you want to take it to DVR, go for it. There's really not much point in having that discussion here. --Minderbinder 13:14, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
