Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Jay R. Grodner

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I don't understand why this article would be considered for deletion. I believe this is a new worthy article, the public deserves the facts about a Lawyer welding his power to try to thwart justice on his felony charges.

This article should be preserved. While the vandalism was minor, the political statement was loud. Threatening to tie up the victim's time was deliberate and aimed at usurping justice. There is a great deal of press interest in the outcome of this court proceeding. Wikipedia maintains articles about similar minor legal matters because of their impact on civil rights (Rosa Parks). Not to denigrate either the civil rights movement or Ms. Parks, but this has many of the same elements and is of interest to a large segment of society. This is not a "Coatrack" because there is no underlying political agenda at work. I believe the deletion itself was a Coatrack.Reverie (talk) 21:13, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
