[edit] Indepth explanation

I know that closing as delete is/could be controversial, the deletion logs show that this article had previously been deleted for failing to establish notability. To clarify what IMHO is needed I'll explain in detail my reasonings.

  1. The reason for nomination was the subject isn't notable, this was supported two additional editors. basis was the referencing was self promotion material which fails WP:N WP:V and WP:RS
  2. The arguments present for keep were three fold
    1. former powerlifting champion -- source was a book review -- this sport has three unassociated governing bodies in Australia, none of these indicate that he was/is a champion in any of them. To establish notability here please provide a secondary source with the governing body and dates of achievement.
    2. Coach of Olympic Athletes -- same source -- this is a passing mention in the sales bio its doesnt name any athletes or which sport they participate in. A secondary source naming athletes and the sport they participate, Alternatively reference from the either, sports governing body, AOC or IOC indicating his status as a coach.
    3. The books -- only sources/reviews are the sales promotion pieces -- While the existence of the books is undisputed they need to reviewed independently.

Successfully addressing any or all of these will establish notability, as would providing other information that complies with WP:N and WP:BIO requirements, I'll restore then article. Gnangarra 14:17, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
