Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Hongfire

  • It's worth noting that all but one (User:Zerebubuth) of the unsigned commentators actually voted delete, which is less usual for this kind of situation. It might be a good idea to not treat a large swathe of unsigned comments as a supporting reason for deletion, in such circumstances. Uncle G 02:53, 2005 Jun 23 (UTC)
    • I placed a {{welcome}} on Talk:Hongfire, in order to make contributors aware of how to sign discussion page contributions here on Wikipedia. It appears to have been effective. Since then, User:Hayami and User:Mmmkl have created accounts and taken ownership (here and on Talk:Hongfire) of comments from IP addresses previously "signed" as "-Soran" and "-mmmkl-"; and User:KidSteel and User:82.231.37.93 have come back and explicitly signed their comments here. • If you check the History in of the Hongfire article you can see that my account was created before you added "Welcome". It was just unpossible for me to login when i voted first. Also Desmonthes and me posted about the disadvantages of unsigned votes (as well as how to sign) in Hongfire forum before KidSteel took the ownership over his comment. I found out how to sign up somethere on Wiki, the reason was the funny comment by Kevin/Last1in ^^ (thanks Kevin) -Soran Hayami 12:06, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
