I wanted to thank everyone who's supported the retention of this article. Yes, it is sparse and needs more input; I believe that's why there's a Stub class on Wikipedia. I welcome the input of others, to expand it and make improvements.
The restored piece is the same as was deleted (speedily?! No wonder it never popped up on my watchlist, much less scope? Still blows me away), except for adding the online news link. I'd like to pay for the longer news article and be able to quote it (if not mine it) to help, but that could conceiveably backfire. I will continue to look for media coverage on the company, and encourage others to do likewise. Some pics would also be a great addition. (Funny how one can post original pics, but not original research data... which I didn't use in the first place? Ah well.)
So let's see...
- Hamilton Stands has been around since 1883, and is an American company based in Middleton, Ohio. Check.
- They originated fold-up music stands, sell their products around the world. Check.
- Countless music stores, local and online, carry the brand. Check.
- Their products are commonplace among musicians, music teachers, and students. Check.
- Some of those musicians are famous, and pics of those musicians sometimes show Hamilton products. Check.
- At least one famous musician name-dropped the company in a song. Check.
- They were recently bought by another company, which plans to expand the product line. Check.
- They have a homepage with essential details on who they are and what they do. Check.
Hokay, seems like it'd be "notable" enough to keep. There isn't much for outside media about them, true, but we can keep an eye out. Now, what'd we miss, and where do we take it from here? Zephyrad 22:20, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
