As Rklawton notes on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Graving -- "graving" is indeed a neologism. It could also be considered jargon, as it is peculiar to a particular group. Self-described "gravers" use "graving" as a descriptive term for their varied activities, as described in the article. In my opinion, the page should not be deleted just because the term doesn't yet have widespread usage. It is thus far a relatively new hobby limited to those interested in cemeteries and GENEALOGY. Many gravers have been contacted by people who were pleased to discover burial information on deceased relatives that has been placed on the internet. This is a valuable genealogical tool, and certainly genealogy is not a page that would be considered for deletion.

What you describe above pretty much amounts to the definition of a neologism - something not permitted here as an article. If this (unsourced) information is useful to geneology, then it should appear in the geneology article. Rklawton 14:53, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
