Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/FlashMe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Running homebrew applications on the Nintendo DS is legal, this article expands one of several methods listed in Nintendo_DS_homebrew#Booting_tools and as such is both relevant and of interest and so should be retained. The user asking for this deletion has also asked for the PassMe and WiFiMe articles to be deleted on the same grounds even though those are more generic. It would be perverse to delete this article because it contained too much information. 82.31.3.3 20:01, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

There is nothing notable about this piece of hardware. If you can assert its notability per WP:NOTABLE and WP:RS, then it might deserve its own article. Otherwise it can be briefly mentioned in the homebrew article, with sources of course. SpigotMap 20:12, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
The fact that you use the term "hardware" shows your lack of knowledge about FlashMe. It is not a hardware device, nor is made for piracy. adapters like R4 or M3, which are clearly made for piracy don't even need FlashMe. Most of people who only use homebrew games have already used this software. I don't see why this article doesn't comply with WP:NOTABLE and WP:RS : the sources can't be more reliable, as it is linked to the creator's page! The independance is safe, theses informations are reliable, and for "Significant coverage", just google it...Jidoo 12:04, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
"google it" should not be used in a AfD, that does not qualify as "significant coverage". Futhermore, a creators page is just that, the creators page. Millions of things have websites, does that make them notable enough for wikipedia? Not all of them. Creators page is a primary source, which is okay as an external link, but not to cite that article, as the creator can make up whatever he feels like putting on the page.
