The article is well written and factual. The many detractors who want the article deleted need to look closely into the the man and his knives.It is well documented that in any theater of war especially among those people that are in Special Operation units both military and other that an Emerson knife is their first and only choice.

To say that an Emerson is just a knife and Mr. Emerson is just a knife maker is analoguous to saying that a diamond is just a rock, or Babe Ruth was just a guy hit baseballs.

[edit] Regarding the restoration of this AfD

I didn't want to be the one to restart this AfD, but since I closed it, I guess it was my position to deal with it. Three users specifically asked me to re-open it. I do not want a lot of wikidrama in my life, nor do I think this article should be deleted. I just wanted to make my reasons for restoring clear. Thanks, Fang Aili ^talk 17:36, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
