Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Brad Hines
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ok - so the thing is - a person who disagrees with the consensus can create 5 sock puppets, or 500. Each gets marked with the little "first edit" tag, and then everyone knows it's a puppet and ignores it. But here the thing - the more puppets, the more likely people are to argue for deletion, salting, etc. - because it looks like the person creating the article is not merely adding something unnecessary, but is actively trying to harm and subvert the encyclopedia by sockpuppetry. That irritates people, and makes them more willing to vote to delete. So, whoever is sockpuppeting (cough, cough), you may as well knock it off - it's pointless. --TheOtherBob 06:31, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
