From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have been informed about this here from the relevant website (bourdela). I think the information about the site should stay, as the site exists, works 24/7 and has indeed a large traffic. Although the site name (bourdela) means "whore-houses" in greek, this word (bourdelo) is used in other cases, i.e. when someone wants to emphasise on a not well organized situation. For example when someone says to his child "your room is a bourdelo" means that the child's room is not tidy at all. The word itself is of Latin origin, and is the same in Italian (bordelo). Even the english word (brothel) is of the same origin. However, the site has turned out to be a much more general interest site than just focused on the paid sex situation in Greece. This can be seen in the site's forum traffic and topics, where one can find very interesting debates about everything that is in the news, as well as political and religious opinions. If wikipedia is to offer knowledge to everyone about what a website is about, then the article should stay. 212.205.239.175 23:56, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Stavros
