Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Bill still
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Hello
Regarding the above comment, pasted below, I am glad to finally get a few words from an Editor about HOW the Bill Still article does not meet Wikipedia criteria. It gives me a chance to make corrections.
"Non-notable bio / promotion for someone trying to push some highly original ideas for monetary reform. -- RHaworth 02:49, 4 April 2007 (UTC)"
When I first put up the article, I was told G11 which is something like product positioning... then I was told A7, bio.
[I have read all the relevant docs, but I will REREAD them until I can believe that, as your standards document says, "notability is not a subjective judgement."]
There were a few lines in the A7 code which said, and I paraphrase, does not bring to the fore context details, or what Bill is ABOUT, or WHY he is an important figure. So I spent some time putting his monetary reform message in.
Now I am told (in the above) that the article is a promotion ... How this article is different from already published Wikipedia articles such as Jim Marrs or Piotr Blass, is beyond me.
I wish that Wikipedia would keep the article and let me work on it, and massage it to Wiki's standards. I am asking for that. But God bless America, there is actually no law of the land that says that you have even got to be fair about this (and no one's saying you're not -- I'm saying I don't understand how this article flies in the face of your criteria).
