I’ve contributed multiple pages to the Wikipedia. None attracked the deletion mob. My claim is the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay.NET submission was probably deleted because .NET is associated with Microsoft and personifies a closed source business model. Nearly opposite is the Wikipedia which personifies an open collaborative model. Many people lost the opportunity to find out about the worlds largest .NET user group. It’s a shame there is not enough tolerance amongst the Wiki cognoscenti to support both. Check the web pages of the delete voters for the Linux penguin. • Eh, it was deleted because several editors evaluated the article, and came to a consensus that it should be deleted. See the AFD page. The article apparently read like an advertisement (innappropriate content for Wikipedia), and the website is pretty much non-notable (Wikipedia isn't a repository of links). --Anonymous (207.118.112.1) 08:25, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
