Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Autosodomy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Um, does this even exist? I've never heard of it / seen it. An unfiltered google image search of "autosodomy" returns twenty-two results none of which are the act described. A non-image search returns only several hundred results, most of which it seems are relating to this encyclopedias or other places where the word autosodomy would be defined, or to a pop song of this name.

Also, the act described is near-impossible. The penis has a tendon which holds it at usually a forty-five or more degree angle when erect which would prevent the bending of the penis downward to reach the anus (penis-enlargement operations generally begin with the severance of this tendon). Also, the testes are in the way. After those are considered, the penis would have to be well over two-decimetres; and it would have to be able to bend in a full u-turn. After all of that, you'd only succeed in just getting the tip of the penis into the anus. No real penile or prostrate stimulation would be possible.

At any rate, the last line is a complete joke: "Penis length is a limiting factor which may exclude some males from effective participation as autosodomy practitioners." [added emphasis]

This article would seem to be a prank. 142.151.162.247 23:57, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Um, perhaps you are confused: mouth != anus; fellatio != sodomy. I've seen my fair share of autofellation, which makes my not having seen autosodomy more compelling. And being flexible won't help autosodomy at all (except in the penis) because both the anus and penis are attached to your pelvis (you can tell I'm a doctor).—Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.151.162.247 (talk • contribs)

THis article has now been recreated following deletion several times by the same user. Merbabu 10:04, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
That's incorrect. This is the deletion log for the article:
Three administrators have separately deleted recent incarnations of this article. Deletion is now being discussed here. --Tony Sidaway 19:04, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
I think he just means that the same user has recreated it, i.e. "This article has now been recreated (following deletion) several times by the same user." --DeLarge 19:50, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
That's correct, I have records of the same user re-creating this twice and I believe there was a 3rd occasion.Merbabu 03:26, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I deleted a link to a picture of autofellatio which claimed to lead to a picture of autosodomy. People are likely to see a link to a picture of autosodomy and not click on it, as autosodomy is not something people are likely to want to see. I don't know why that link was here especially given my above comment on the subject.142.151.162.247 05:50, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I deleted the words "and yogic," from "Autosodomy is a sexual and yogic practice..." which were obviously meant to give some sort of wishy-washy credibility to the idea. There's nothing about autosodomy in any yoga-related articles on wikipedia; and also, as I mentioned above, it doesn't make sense to describe this 'practice' as yoga as bodily flexibility won't help you. The penis is on one side of the pelvis and the anus is on the other and you can't bend you pelvis. No amount of yogic bending would make this 'practice' easier.142.151.162.247 15:56, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I pasted the wrong link earlier. Here's the image w/ a video

The above-linked does have video of what appears to be autosodomy (it's not entirely clear). So, as previously agreed; it can be done in extreme circumstances.142.151.162.247 21:58, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

People. Autosodomy is a DOCUMENTED PRACTICE of which many videos can be found online. Stop repressing this article. 208.81.93.120 (talk) 19:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

This is not sufficiently notable or common to have its own article, and this article has been created several times, apparently by someone promoting the neologism. That several different practices (self-"oral" and two different methods of self-"anal") are being called autosodomy seems to demonstrate that the term is a neologism for practices which if notable are best detailed on the relevant existing articles. / edg 19:15, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
