Obviously all it takes is tens of thousands of hits in google to be listed in Wikipedia... Wikipedia - "Not a Reputable Source" and I understand why that is more-so now than before - carry on with your trivial little political fairy play. As a gamer myself, I know the history - my challenge of Mr. Roberts posting was clearly an effort to make an accurate correction where the text is misleading to people who do not know much about wargaming. Mr. Roberts is NOT the father of wargaming - that title distinctly goes to H.G. Wells and is documented in many independent sources - Mr. Roberts claim is not. Mr. Roberts is a notable person in the gaming industry as I tried to convey, but the misleading characterization of being the "Father of Wargaming" is completely inaccurate. If you choose to not see that and want to blame your political empire building turf actions on my being slighted by the deletion of a company listing - by all means. It just goes to further illustrate the political nature of Wikipedia and reinforces the reasons behind the ban on its use in educational institutions across the country.

The concept of consensus includes that sometimes you are going to be on the losing side of debate, and that when you are, you need to accept the fact graciously and move on. Plainly you thought highly enough of Wikipedia before more people (many of whom have at least as good credentials and as longstanding experience in the hobby as you) disagreed with you on a certain issue than agreed with you. What has changed is that you disagree both with our rules and with the stance of certain editors on those issues ... but I expect were a student to enter your classroom and declare he was going to do what he wanted, study what he pleased, and get an A from you anyway, and go to pronounce your explanations of rules, policies, custom and expected decorum "mumbo jumbo," you would neither be amused nor predict much in the way of success.  RGTraynor  02:46, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
