[edit] White skin privilege
Moved from CSD. Not a valid speedy, but not article-worthy either. Unneccessary – we already have plenty enough articles about discrimination. Smoddy (t) (e) 21:45, 8 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Delete as vanity book ad, else as original research, else as neologism. Wyss 00:37, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep but should probably be renamed White privilege which is a more commonly used term. I think it should be covered separately from discrimination in general. -- Cleduc 00:47, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Delete, rantish, book promo. Megan1967 03:08, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Weak keep but cleanup; definitely needs NPOV, but the phrase itself seems fairly noteworthy; at least I've read it in use. The content as it now stands is not wholly useless to make a better article. Agree with move to White privilege. -- Smerdis of Tlön 04:46, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Delete -- spamming, POV, and no reason why it couldn't be merged into some other article. -- Curps 07:58, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep, Clean and Rename to White privilege. I'm really surprised that white privilege doesn't already have an article. DaveTheRed 08:31, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Delete, leave name as redirect. As per Wyss. Radiant! 08:57, Mar 9, 2005 (UTC)
Comment, I'm not sure even White privilege would work as an encyclopedic title for an article on this topic. I'd also be concerned that any such article could devolve into a rantish fork. Wyss 18:00, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- If it did devolve into a rantish fork, somebody will have to establish NPOV. I don't think censoring which ideas are explained is a good idea -- Cleduc 00:43, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep, Clean and Rename to White privilege. White privilege is an accepted term in race studies. It's an aspect of racism but I think enough can be said about it to merit a separate article. FreplySpang 06:39, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep as it currently exists, with current title. "White skin privilege" was an important concept and slogan in 1960s radicalism. Gazpacho 23:34, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep or (second choice) merge. -- Jmabel | Talk
