[edit] Water safety
Tagged as a speedy:
“
Wikipedia is not an instruction manual, and we specifically don't want to give safety advice (legal concerns)”
No opinion yet. RN 23:50, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how the other editors are going to see this, but I'm going to say keep and rewrite to avoid legal concerns and make it less of an instruction manual. Perhaps just a listing of the different safety methods and where they are used, etc. — ßottesiηi (talk) 23:58, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete as unencylopedic at least in its current form.--Nick Y. 00:01, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- What about transwiking to wikibooks? RN 00:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete with no transwiki. Get rid of it permanently. I don't like the idea of the Wikimedia foundation being sued due to defective instructions. M1ss1ontomars2k4 | T | C | @ 00:12, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Keep, but stubbify (or rewrite per Bottesini). Encyclopedic topic, and plenty of stuff has been written on it that can be presented without sounding like a how-to. We could talk about the history of water safety technology, different experts' opinions on what's best for different situations, and we could introduce various water safety organizations. --Allen 01:38, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. As an instruction page it has no place here, and if someone wants to create an article on water safety technology there's no issue in starting from scratch. Nothing to salvage here but the name - 144.135.0.64 08:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC) ( forgot to login here ! - Peripitus 08:08, 25 May 2006 (UTC) )
