• Weak keep if sources could be found. At one level it is just an adjective -- "wannabe actor" -- but at another level, certainly in the 1980s, it represented something more about identity. Madonna's "wannabes" didn't just want to be pop singers, they wanted to be Madonna. I think there's a potential article here on that aspect of subculture.
