- When an article says "ARTICLETITLE is the old name for OTHERARTICLE", AFD should not be your first thought. Your first thought should be to merge that datum into OTHERARTICLE, which process results in a redirect from ARTICLETITLE to OTHERARTICLE, in line with our Wikipedia:Naming conventions.
