[edit] Varsity trip
Non-notable university travelling organization. Claims to be the largest university ski trip in the world. 545 Google hits. Prod tag removed without explanation by the page's creator, who also removed an {{importance}} tag later added. Delete. DMG413 21:43, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. No notability outside of those involved.--Fuhghettaboutit 21:48, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- delete sounds like a college trip made by students at Oxford. Agreed that its not notable. Roodog2k 22:16, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. This has been going for 85 years supporting the ski competition between Oxford and Cambridge Universities which historically has been important particularly for the development of the sport in the UK. For these reasons it is notable and is not just a college trip made by students at Oxford. I have improved the article in particular by linking to the article on Blues and adding information from that article. --Bduke 23:16, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete non-notable. Nortelrye 23:23, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- Weak keep since it's a long-established tradition at two very notable universities. -- Mithent 11:59, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:NFT. Unlikely that anybody outside those two universities would care about it. Contrast to the Boat Race. Stifle (talk) 23:06, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Weak keep per Mithent and Bduke, mostly because of its longevity. But it needs more on how it has been important "for the development of the sport in the UK". u p p l a n d 02:56, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
