Nominated for deletion by PWdiamond with reason: "This article does not appear to meet Wikipedia's standards for notability. Please research WP:BIO for more information." This is a procedural nomination - my opinion is Neutral, although I should point out that this is a conversion from an uncontested, expired, prod to an AfD by the original prod nominator - It may just be a misunderstanding of the process on PWdiamond's part. • Keep. I had not heard of this guy before having only a slight interest in climbing and that mainly in UK. It seems to me that his climbs and his writing on climbing do make him notable. Perhaps not quite up to the notability of Joe Brown (climber) or Don Whillans but notable nevertheless. However, the article does need cleaning up. --Bduke 23:12, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
