The result was Snowball delete. Arrant piffle, albeit entertaining arrant piffle. Grutness...wha? 00:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Insulation
Looks like a WP:HOAX to me. Does not appear plot of book/film. Tiddly-Tom 05:10, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- This doesn't belong here. "The band begun their musical enterprise on December 31st, 2007" This is pure vandalism and should have been speedied as such. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 05:12, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Their "asserted importance" is that they went "134,936,777x Platinum". Even I can tell that's a load of nonsense and that even the most lenient AfD will return the same result as the CSD tag applied to the articel. 68.39.174.238 (talk) 05:15, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete per WP:CSD#G1 and 68.39.174.238. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 05:19, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment - Note that hoaxes are generally not speedy deletion candidates. I followed advise on the WP:HOAX page. After further investigation, you are both correct, (G3) Note that the definition of vandalism also covers blatant and obvious hoaxes. It is not G1, This does not include: ... hoaxes of any sort Tiddly-Tom 05:25, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete as blatant vandalism (and so tagged). Claims to have an album that is "134,936,777x Platinum," but was formed on December 31, 2007! —Travistalk 05:34, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete, "134,936,777x Platinum". Uh-huh. Lankiveil (talk) 06:07, 1 January 2008 (UTC).
- Speedy delete garbage. JuJube (talk) 07:07, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete. Obvious hoax and nonsense, albeit an amusing hoax and nonsense. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 07:36, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

- Speedy delete. Enough timewasting. --Calton | Talk 13:05, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete per G3. -- Redfarmer (talk) 14:02, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete vandalism, not worthy of debate. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 16:28, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete and WP:SNOW, if it won't be speedied. Malinaccier (talk) 18:01, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Very Strong Delete hoax and/or very bad joke and/or possible copy vio of a sketch on either Mr. Show or Kids in the Hall that is very similar to this. Reasons: 1. Band claims to be from "Steve, Ohio". This place does not exist. 2. Claimed sales of "134,936,777x Platinum" This isn't possible. This would mean that every person in America would own several thousand copies of the record. 3. Article proclaims band became a hugely popular rock band of Dethklok proportions in 24 hours. Look, why did this even go to AFD? It doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell! Because of author's removal of deletion tags it may return, so I suggest a light dose of WP:SALT on this. Doc Strange (talk) 23:02, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete. Article is a WP:HOAX. Mh29255 (talk) 00:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
