[edit] The_Hamsters
AfDs for this article:
non-notable artist. No reliable sources are referenced to prove notability. The existing references only link to the band's own pages and the article sounds more like a promo or advert KennethStein 18:17, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Comment: This is not a bad faith nomination. I truly believe this band is non-notable. It doesn't meet a single point of the 12 set forth in WP:MUSIC. If it does, and that reference can be verified. Feel free to add it and I'll publicly change my opinion. Additionally, the article was written by the band's webmaster. - Keep - This is a bad faith nomination by an editor who I instigated an AFD on. The Hamsters article exceeds the criteria required by WP:MUSIC by quite a margin. The band's been together for 20 years, are continually on tour and have performed more than 3,500 show under their own name. They have released 9 Albums and 4 DVDs (as the article states). Please close this inappropriate AFD forthwith. WebHamster 18:26, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy close, bad faith nomination by sockpuppet master out for revenge. Corvus cornix 18:47, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy keep, bad faith nomination, obviously passes WP:MUSIC. ugen64 18:48, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Question. Which one of the 12 criteria for notability in WP:MUSIC does this non-notable band meet? KennethStein 18:52, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Comment This article is lacking independent sources. Bad-faith nom or not, that needs to be changed... — Scientizzle 18:55, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Snail's Pace Slim, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rev Otis Elevator & Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ms Zsa Zsa Poltergeist are the same thing. Please assert notability using independent reliable sources... — Scientizzle 18:59, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
