The result was redirect to Beast of Bodmin. The robot is already mentioned in Roadblock (robot). Sandstein 07:04, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Beast of Bodmin
Beast of Bodmin and Roadblock are built by the same people and Roadblock already has it's own article. Robots from the same team should not be seperated. As well as that, the Roadblock article already contains info about Beast Of Bodmin. CBFan 13:51, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Comment. This page probably should move and be a disambiguation page, linking both Beast of Bodmin (robot) and Beast of Bodmin, the folklore subject alluded to in the article. No real opinion on the notabilkity of this robot , or Roadblock (robot) for that matter. - Smerdis of Tlön 14:36, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Delete as not asserting notability and redirect to Beast of Bodmin. It's not obvious to me that even winning a series of Robot Wars automatically makes a robot notable by Wikipedia's definition, and I can't see how a non-winning competitor can be considered notable without independent sources. EALacey 14:57, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Merge. I don't see why it can't be merged into Roadblock (robot) as it is by the same team. Some Guy (Izzy259) 17:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Because it's not notable in its own right. EliminatorJR Talk 23:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Redirect title to legendary creature Beast of Bodmin. Merge content, if required, to Roadblock (robot) but delete the youtube sourcing. Canuckle 17:37, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Merge with Roadblock (robot). Oysterguitarist 17:40, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Merge and Redirect to List of minor Robot Wars contestants (UK), or just Delete. It's certainly not notable enough for its own article. EliminatorJR Talk 23:32, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Beast Of Bodmin should NOT be seperated from Roadblock. They are from the same team. In fact, the Roadblock article currently has quite a bit of info on BOB. CBFan 15:40, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Roadblock is (probably) notable. BOB isn't. EliminatorJR Talk 07:22, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Surely an encyclopedia would have articles about each thing. Why not if I create a Bodmin College article (where they came from and being a significant cornish school should get one) and merge both into that? (sotonfc4life, 9.55 am) -Roadblock and Beast Of Bodmin are created by the same team. If you look at the other Robot Wars pages (including the List of Minor contestants), you'll see that Robots with the same team are not seperated, but grouped together. Why you think Beast Of Bodmin should be seperated from Roadblock, I don't know, but it shouldn't. Consistancy, you know. CBFan 10:30, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Comment I for one agree that Bodmin College should have an article - and certainly it would be appropriate to include both robots in that as they illustrate the activities of the school and its appearence on national TV. DuncanHill 11:53, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. Individual robots are not inherently notable, in my view, and only deserve to have an article if this can be shown from reliable third-party sources. (YouTube videos are self-published, not third-party). No objection to recreation if notability can be shown. There may be ways to squeeze this information into other articles, but why bother, if it remains as skimpy as it is now. We learn (without sources) that it was a 'strong and relatively successful robot.' Hardly seems worth recording such scanty information for posterity. EdJohnston 05:12, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
