The result was delete. There's so little to merge that there's no real reason to. If someone wants to make a redirect or wants what's deleted then let me know. Wizardman 18:57, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Shane Jolley
Same reasoning as Articles for deletion/Erich Jacoby-Hawkins. Non-notable one-time failed candidate, editor again rebuffed request to merge into party/election article. Even less notable than Jacoby-Hawkins. Realkyhick 20:35, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Keep he's perfectly notable as a major party candidate. GreenJoe 21:42, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Comment: Unless it's for the highest offices, we've already established that candidates are not necessarily notable for being a candidate until they win, unless they are notable for other reasons, which Jolley isn't. Realkyhick 18:22, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Mark Warner (Canadian politician) was kept simply because he was a candidate. GreenJoe 00:24, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Not true. He was kept because of his various other accomplishments, such as book authorship, frequent public commentary, and so on. (Frankly, I would have voted "weak delete" on his AfD.) See the discussion here. Moreover, there seems to be a lack of consensus as to whether the Greens qualify as a major party, given their history of election results. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:09, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- It is, many people there questioned his authorship since he was only a co-author. As to the question of being a major party, we ran more candidates than the Bloc Québécois. GreenJoe 03:20, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

- Delete. Doesn't meet WP:BIO guidelines for politicians; doesn't appear to have held "international, national or statewide/provincewide office" nor received significant press coverage. --Kateshortforbob 22:14, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Merge brief bio into Green Party candidates, 2006 Canadian federal election (pretty standard at this point). -Royalguard11(T·R!) 00:28, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- Merge - if outcome of current election brings him into office, then he may rate independant article, but currently he is only (and not inherently) notable as being a candidate of a notable party. Exit2DOS2000•T•C• 03:39, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- Merge with Green Party candidates, 2006 Canadian federal election. Reginald Perrin 05:35, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

- Delete. Non-notable local minor party candidate.Ryoung122 09:37, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- He's a major party Candidate. The Green Party beat out the NDP in PEI, coming in 3rd. GreenJoe 01:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Delete Non-notable for being a political office candidate that didn't win and doesn't seem to hold any offices currently. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 16:19, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - no WP:reliable sources cited to establish notability. Dlabtot 21:18, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, no independent, reliable sources. shoy 15:30, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - Same logic as in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Erich Jacoby-Hawkins (2nd nomination). Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 12:20, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Merge to Green Party candidates, 2006 Canadian federal election per the above. The notability of the candidate is at issue, not the prestige of the Green Party. In this case, the candidate has done very little beyond their candidacy - so, there isn't enough here to assert notability and justify the article. He was a candidate, though, and so should be merged. Best, ZZ Claims ~ Evidence 13:17, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Merge to Green Party candidates, 2006 Canadian federal election per ZZ. I would have joined with the Keep voters on Mark Warner (Canadian politician) and with the Merge voters on Erich Jacoby-Hawkins. Mere participation in an election where the candidate didn't win doesn't seem enough reason to Keep when there are no reliable sources quoted in the article, and where the candidate isn't shown to have other noteworthy activities.
