First off, if we are to believe that the page is true and properly cited (which it isn't) the Ruggsville County Sheriff's Posse are hardly notable to The Devil's Rejects, the film in which they are from, to warrant their own article. Their only notability is for housing John Wydell and George Wydell, both of whom have their own articles.
The article is clearly fiction, yet there is no identification of such. Instead, its reads like an actual website for the posse.
There are no citations to verify the infomation in the article. In fact, after reading the article, it reads to me more like fanfiction and original research. CyberGhostface 18:21, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Strong Delete - Anybody notice the city listed isent in a wikpedia listed city in texas. I am not saying that every city liste is. Also, some of the wiki links are screwy (they go to some articles thatlook different than what youd expect). On top of that, no sources and what sounds like a load of it def a deleter. Now, if some sources could be pulled, and if this was lefit, it does sound notable enough. Chris Kreider 18:35, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - This one might qualify for a speedy (hoax). As far as I can tell there is no Ruggsville in Texas, which is actually not even the article's biggest problem. There's also the matter of the first person narrative tone, and the fact that the article is unexplicably categorized with Rob Zombie. I'll do some more research, but if I can't find any solid info substantiating the county's existence, I'm going to ask for a speedy delete. -bobby 18:38, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Comment - Just so no one gets the wrong idea idea, this is a fictional town from a fictional film. The problem is not that its a fictional town that does not exist, but because all the research and backstory was created by the user writing it and has no citations.--CyberGhostface 18:44, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Comment - OK then. Most of my above comments can be ignored. I will stick with my original vote for two reasons. First, although I have never seen the film, it sounds as if the Posse in question is not notable, per Cyber's comment). - Comment - It seems that CyberGhostface has a problem with other people creating anything that he doesn't agree with. He calls this article "fiction" while happily creating his own fiction (See articles about ficticious characters John Wydell and George Wydell). He REFUSES to allow anybody to edit articles that he has created, and he removes any comments made on his user discussion page. - Comment - The previous comment was removed (and for good reason) because the editor vandalized the page, replacing all the 'deletes' with 'keep'. I have added it back to A.) Show the type of person this guy is and B.) Respond to his complaints.
- 1. The problem is NOT that its from a fictional film, but that the article has no basis in fact or citations and is entirely created by the user. The history he created for the Ruggsville Posse is not present in any of the films or backstories. My articles about the Wydell brothers, however, all pertain to the way they were in the film with no original research whatsoever.
- 2. As for "refusing" to let anyone edit articles I create...I beg to differ. I have created over thirty articles, many of which have had hundreds of contributions. My article for Count Olaf that I started for example has had hundreds of different edits. No, the problem isn't that someone else edited articles that I created...its that that someone else added false and irrevelant information to the articles I created.
- 3. As for removing his comments on my discussion page...well, I'll let his posts speak for themselves: You are a cocksucking scumbag! and This time, don't remove my post, you malicious cocksucker!!! I hope you can understand why I removed his comments.--CyberGhostface 21:10, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
